So here's the deal: the wallet will rotate on a monthly basis between participants, who will pick it up from the OGL store on the 11th of every month. Did some servicing to a friend's wallet and took some pics of it.

Before. The back of the wallet soaked with indigo stain, probably due to the sweat in the back pocket. I did a cleaning with saddle soap.

After. Cleaned as much as possible, a huge difference can be seen on the corners. The rest are too stubborn, but it is such that adds characters to Vegetable Tanned Leathers.

9th August, marks the National Day for Singapore, a day that all Singaporean are proud of. Since last year, Obbi Good Label had released a Limited Edition Red D'Art Wallet. This year, we are using an extremely rare Ostrich Skin to incorporate into a mid size wallet.

Commonly, Ostrich Skin are known for its bumps or dots on this skins due to the removal of their feathers during tannery processes. But little do we know that on the leg and thigh potion of the Ostrich, we can find awesome grains and amazing texture of the skin.

Adding to its rarity of production, each leg of the animal can only make 1 piece of wallet size leathercraft.

Have been following this pair since last year, but just no chance or time to really commit.

Now, quarter past my Heavyweight Championship progress, I guess I can spend some time with a rotation pair.

Been wearing Samurai 710xx and Samurai S0500JX for the past 1 year, Fullcount 1108 is really thin. But in a good way, I like a variety of things to choose from.

The denim is really good, not very slubby, but good enough. Hairy and dark indigo. The best features I like about it, is the simplicity, nothing fancy, not too hype.....just jeans :)

Ms Kayodic was eagerly looking for a suspender for her new look that she had been thinking and imagining :) However, she do not own any jeans or pants with suspender buttons. After searching for examples and links, we discussed (well, probaly just exchange few BBMs) and commenced on our first try of suspender making.

So, we are having some crazy ideas about colour tone recently, could it be the inspired by how we custom boots in different colours and leathers, I really don' know.
But what I know is, such playing around with colours and leather can be done on leather wallets as well.
We have brainstormed some possible ideas and is what we think is quite cool for denimheads.
To add in different colours, we wanted it to serve a purpose other than its design outlook.

Features for a Gentlemen Bi-Fold

Many of us know what is a 'bi-fold' wallet, basically a 'normal' wallet fit for any occassions, it is by far the most commonly used wallet design.

Here, let's see what are the basic features for a standard Bi-Fold wallet. Of course, they are just common features, depending on the leather used and design concept, some still do without.

First of, a clean and neat horizontal rectangle fold in half is the most common design for Bi-Fold depicting Bills in Folds (Bi-Fold).
Usually, spotting small round corners or square corners in pic.

Must be able to store cards on both sides, or sometimes, adding extra piece center for more card slots, or even coin compartment. Bill notes are mostly, if not always, from top down. Sometimes segregating big bills and small bills.

One of the important features on a Bi-Fold is, the folding edges (see pic). In many of the renowned brands, famously producing wallets, this is one feature they will not miss. This is because traditionally, Bi-Fold wallets are mainly used by the formal class (however, in modern times it is not). Thus, bringing out a clean and neat image is exceptionally important for a gentleman. Likewise for their leather wallets, which signify their status, should not be seen with rough edges.
